Terms of Use for Linking HondaLink® Account with Amazon Alexa

Effective Date: April 4, 2023

Thank you for enabling the Honda Skill for Amazon Alexa (the “Skill”) to use in connection with your Amazon Alexa device (the “Device”) and your eligible Honda vehicle(s). The Skill is provided by American Honda Motor Co., Inc. and its affiliates (“Honda” or “we” or “us”) and makes certain HondaLink® services available to you via your Device.

By clicking “AUTHORIZE” to link your HondaLink® account with your Amazon Alexa account, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms of use (“Terms”):

  1. To use the Skill, your eligible vehicle(s) must be enrolled in a trial or paid subscription package for HondaLink® remote vehicle services (the “Subscription Services”).

  2. These Terms incorporate the Subscription Services Terms of Use for your vehicle(s), the current version of which is located at https://mygarage.honda.com/s/hondalink-marketing (the “Subscription Services Terms”) and the American Honda Motor Co., Inc. Privacy Notice, which is available at https://www.honda.com/privacy/privacy-notice (the “Honda Privacy Notice”). These Terms, including the Subscription Services Terms and the Honda Privacy Notice, are binding between you and us and govern your access and use of the Skill. For this purpose, the term “Subscription Services” of the Subscription Services Terms includes the Skill.  You should carefully review the Subscription Services Terms and the Honda Privacy Notice before accessing or using the Skill.

  3. By linking your HondaLink® account with your Amazon Alexa account and using your Device to access the Skill, certain information of yours will be accessible to Amazon.com Services LLC and its affiliates (collectively, “Amazon”). You understand and agree that Amazon’s use of this information is subject to its terms of use and privacy policy. 

  4. For most features, the Skill will be available only when a linked vehicle is off.

  5. It is your responsibility to use the Skill only when it is safe to do so and in a responsible manner, including abiding by all applicable laws, rules and regulations. It is recommended that you use the Skill only in a secure and private setting and not in the presence of others, including children.

  6. It is your responsibility to ensure that all occupants of your vehicle know that anyone with access to the Skill through your Device may be able to initiate commands to your vehicle or access information about your vehicle.

  7. Honda is not responsible for the acts of third parties who may access the Skill and information through your Device.

  8. The Skill is provided to you “AS IS”. Honda makes no representations or warranties or conditions, express or implied, about the Skill or its availability, and we are not liable for any lack of availability of the Skill.

  9. Honda grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Skill solely with your Device, throughout the United States, subject to your compliance with these Terms. The Skill is licensed, not sold, to you, solely for your personal use.  As between you and us, Honda retains all right, title, and interest in and to the Skill, including all intellectual property and proprietary rights and interests.

  10. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and the Subscription Services Terms or the Honda Privacy Notice, these Terms will govern for any access or use of the Skill.
